Bob Evans Burgers

First off let me say that home made hamburgers are not my favorite.  I just do not like the way I cook them, unfortunately for me my husband would eat hamburgers every day of the week, including Sunday.

So with that in mind I like to come up with creative ways to cook the ground meat.   I have tried adding Blue Cheese to the middle, chopped onions, different sauces to the mix prior to cooking, you name I have tried it.

Hamburgers–Paula’s Way

Labor Day is this weekend and for some it is the last of the summer cookouts.  It is a time for celebrating the American Worker, and in these economic times no one person deserves more thanks than the American Worker.  Celebrate and thank all of those who are working to make this country a better place.

What better way to celebrate than with a truly American icon….the hamburger.  There are so many ways to prepare it.   My mother, God Bless her only knew one way…burnt.   My kids used to call them Hockey Pucks…I tended to agree with them, but not to her face.

Cheese Stuffed Beer Burgers

I received daily recipes from various sources and I always like to try them out before I suggest them on this blog.

This is one of those recipes that just the name of it sold me.  Once I made them  and served them to my family they became an instant hit!

This flavorful and juicy burger is stuffed with a beer, cheese and onion filling.

Ingredients:
Filling:
2 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
4 oz cream cheese, softened
1 teaspoon paprika
1/4 cup beer
1/4 cup minced onion
1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
