Panko Fish Fillet

Last weekend my husband and I were relaxing viewing our favorite cooking shows and “Panko” was utilized in a couple of the dishes. Even though we have come across panko for several years and understood it had an Asian origin, we still were not confident what it really was or its uses. So after a little investigation on the internet I came across numerous ways to use panko and exactly what panko is.

Feta Cheese…Two different Recipes…Chicken and Shrimp

When I was growing up Feta cheese wasn’t a part of my diet. To be truthful I don’t believe my mother knew what Feta was or how to make use of it. It simply wasn’t widely recognized here in the United States. Over the years I have turn into a big supporter of the Feta! It’s really a fantastic mouth watering cheese and extremely distinctive.

Feta cheese is amongst the earliest cheeses on the planet, and it is considered an authentic product from Greece. To be more precise, since October 14, 2002, feta cheese has become officially recognized as being a Greek only, cheese.

Chicken Piccata and Capers

I didn’t really know what a caper was for a very long time. All I understood was these tiny dark green pea-size food items tasted really great, and that I couldn’t get an ample amount of them. In the event you don’t really know what a caper is, a caper is the bud of the flowering plant known as Capparis spinosa. It’s difficult to consider, but merely a single very small caper is jam-packed with a big list of nutrition. This transforms any recipe to a nutritious one whenever you incorporate capers. Capers are extremely versatile and work extremely well in a range of recipes.

Taco Pasta Shells

Chili Powder

There is a difference between chili pepper and chili powder. Chili pepper consists solely of chili pods which have been dried, then powdered. Chili powder is a blend, of which ground chili pepper is used as a base (usually 80% of total volume), with the addition of spices such as cumin and Mexican oregano.

Chili Powder has a rich flavor, deep color, very little heat. This blend is the traditional backbone of many Mexican dishes, from burritos to tamales.  Serve with a shaker jar of crushed hot peppers on the side for those who like heat.  Handmixed from: Ancho chili pepper, cumin, garlic, Mexican oregano.

Bob Evans Burgers

First off let me say that home made hamburgers are not my favorite.  I just do not like the way I cook them, unfortunately for me my husband would eat hamburgers every day of the week, including Sunday.

So with that in mind I like to come up with creative ways to cook the ground meat.   I have tried adding Blue Cheese to the middle, chopped onions, different sauces to the mix prior to cooking, you name I have tried it.

One Bowl Meals

The best meals come from those creative moments when an imaginative dish is invented from the staples lurking in everyone’s kitchen – eggs, pasta, frozen peas. Tonia George’s One-bowl Meals gives you the inspiration to whip up a stress-free, satisfying meal in a bowl. Soups and Salads are full of ideas for healthy and delicious suppers, such as a chunky Chickpea, Tomato, and Chorizo Soup. Everyone keeps Pasta and Noodles in store, so it couldn’t be easier to throw together a bowl of tasty Beef Polpetti with Tomato Sauce and Spaghetti. Rice and Grains always make a filling meal, and the incredible deep-fried Eggs with Rice, Chile, and Oyster Sauce turns hackneyed egg fried rice into a dish with a difference. Sometimes, only Meat and Fish will hit the spot after a day’s work, so treat yourself to a fabulous Lamb and Fava Bean Tagine. And round off your meal with an irresistible Dessert such as Gooey Chocolate Brownies.

Skillet ‘n Griddle Set

As with most of what comes out of Paula Deens kitchen these skillets are some of the best quality for the price I have ever used.  I love the color. With the non-stick coating I don’t even need oil. My food does not stick, clean up is very easy.  I have some arthritis in my hands and to lift a heavy pot is sometimes difficult, but with these loaded with food they are very easy for me to handle.  Good grip on the handles is what makes it so easy to use.  I absolutely love these pots.  Can’t say enough!
